Keep on…

I used to have hope that my fellow Christians would be the source for change, by drawing people to Christ with their love for humanity. By loving people and putting others first. Never in my wildest dreams did I think so many would go so far, hanging on the false promise of outlawing abortion, to support a man who is the antitheses of Christian faith. To enable a party intent on destroying the middle class and allowing the extremely wealthy to gut our economy. We should have seen it. We should have remembered that Hitler’s followers were Lutheran and Catholic Germans.

Do I despair? No. I stand in righteous anger against those who dehumanize living, breathing people. Especially those who would do it in Jesus’ name. Maya Angelou once said, “Every storm runs out of rain.” This storm WILL end, Christ will prevail. I’m thankful for the MANY people I see working for justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly in this life.
